Citizens of Pakistan who have obtained MS / M.Phil degree in the relevant field under the AIOU Professional Development Program (PDP). Qualification criteria:
Pakistani / AJK National candidates have an MS / M.Phil degree with a minimum of 3.00 / 4.00 CGPA / 70 (semester system) or 60% marks in the annual system.
A maximum of 2nd-second divisions and no third division in the entire academic career.
Age limit: 30 years maximum, according to the closing date.
Must have obtained MS / M.Phil degree on or before the closing date.
Candidates who have benefited from any other scholarship are not eligible to apply.
The applicant must meet the University of Leicester's admission requirements in the relevant priority areas.

- Before applying, interested candidates must understand the complete PDP roadmap available on the AIOU website (www.aiou.edu.pk).
- Applicants are required to apply online.
- The AIOU job portal is at (www.aiou.edu.pk) and at this stage, no documentation is required in hard form.
- Applicants need to make sure that they have a valid GRE (General) result which is required to be submitted by the university once along with the required research proposal and other documents.
- Applicants should provide the correct phone number and mailing address to avoid correspondence.
- These scholarships are for new candidates who have completed MS / M.Phil degrees and are seeking foreign PhD degrees.
- However, applicants who are working in government | semi-government and autonomous bodies on a regular or contract basis should resign from the previous job, application through the appropriate channel will not be accepted.
- The information claimed in the latest online application form will be considered final, subsequent claims, which were not previously given in the online application form, will be considered later and an attempt will be made to qualify. Subsequent such claims will not be accepted.
- AIOU reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats, or to redistribute slots to different faculties as required.
